Lars Tunbjörks Office är en grym fotobok. Han studerade kontorsliv i olika länder, bland annat Japan. Han fick komma in på kontoren och fotografera ur alla möjliga olika vinklar. Det blev sladdhärvor, lunchsnusk och tomhet och sterilitet det gick att ta på. Ljudväggarnas yta gick att ta på.
Boken är inspirerande. Den lägger upp utmaningen att skapa berättelser, vinklar, stimulera alla sinnen av en råvara bestående av de medelklassiga tjänstemänens sterilneutrala arbetsliv. Alldaglighet i ett nära intill tomt absurdum.
Och utöver det: utmaningen skapa en kontroversiell berättelse av tjänstemän som av allt att döma har noll intresse av att visa just de bilderna av sig. Jag besöker många kontor och försöker anta Lars Tunbjörks utmaning. Inte för att jag någonsin kommer att lyckas, utanför att jag känner att det inte finns någon annan möjlighet än att försöka, försöka, försöka.
