Det är både roligt och enkelt att jobba som actionfotograf. Det var inte alls så svårt som jag hade trott. Testade i Duved.
Jag har i smyg beundrat fotograferna som breder ut sig i Magasin Åre på glossiga magasinssidor. Har studerat hur fotografer som James Holm, Robert Henriksson, Johan Ståhlbergs och Gösta Fries tar bilder under skidhoppen så att det ser ut som om snowboardhopparna flyger flera hundra meter upp i luften. Eller bilder på skidåkare som plöjer fram i meterdjup snö med bara tofsen på toppluvan skymtande.
I det senaste numret av favoritmagasinet finns till och med en svit foton med neonljus som bildar mönster medan skidbumsen glider fram över trappräcken och genom lingonriset.
Så med respekt och ödmjukhet tog jag mig an uppgiften att göra ett fotojobb från helgen i Duved. Var bilderna ska publiceras, är lite hemligt ännu, men jag kan inte låta bli att bjuda på smakprov. Jag har förstått att det är brukligt bland actionfotograferna.
De små stugorna är röda i Duved. Här ska firas taklagsfest med snöbräda över nocken. Just för denna bild luftar jag min Pentax mellanformatare med standardoptik, f 1,2 och synkad upplättningsblixt med två slavar.
Ingen panoramakamera gör Åre-massivet rättvisa. Här är i alla fall ett försök. Lägg märke till hur den långa exponeringstiden framhäver snöyran runt topparna. Tog en hel serie från en helikopter. Förhandlar med ett känt skidmagasin från Åre om publicering av bilderna.
Uppe på kalfjället tar jag ofta bilder på mig själv in action. Behövs till min blogg och mitt promokit. Här har jag jobbat med självutlösare, Canon Eos 7D och Manfrotto-stativ försett med medar. Ett tips är att anlita kompisar som modeller.
Fik är underskattade platser för alpint foto. Det blir ofta spännande vinklar när kameran får vila på bordet. Kontrasten mellan värmen inomhus och snöblötan skapar intressant dynamik. Men när börjar Skistar med sojalatte?
Jag gillar actionfoto och försöker arrangera så lite som möjligt. Möjligen flyttar jag ett objekt några centimeter. Här använde jag mig av två SB900 med softboxar 60 x 60 cm och bouncer. Måste erkänna att resultatet blev hyggligt.
Försöker alltid fota det som sker utanför backen. Off-pist är en genre som allt för få alpinfotografer tar sig an. Johan Marklund är något av en mästare på att jobba med små ytor och format.
