För tio år sedan började jag julhandla på Fältöversten, då ett rätt sunkigt köpcentrum. Interiören verkade vara intakt från 70-talet och i det kände jag en trygghet som annars är svårt jag ifatt på överlägsna, överfinansierade, övermedvetna Östermalm. Jag kände mig som en undervovve, mer en kopplad till pudlarna i köpcentrat än till deras hussar och mattar. Alla i lurvig päls förstås.
Jag visste inte vem någon var men brukade smygfota roliga människor.
Tänkte på det när jag chockhandlade i lördags. På mindre än tio minuter träffade jag på Martin Gumperts på reklambyrån Garbergs, Staffan Slörner, vd för Sveriges Mediebyråer, Francesca O’Brien Apelgren, VD Stockholms Marknadsförening och så såg jag också Matias Palm Jensen på webbyrån Farfar i vimlet. Ingen kamera. Inget smygfotografi. Jag gick och julhandlade som vilken viktig Övfre östermalmare som helst. Fast egentligen utan så mycket pengar i fickan. Jag tänkte inte så mycket på var jag befann mig i skalan utan irriterade mig mest på att jag inte lyckades lura fram namnet på nästa vd på Sveriges Kommunikationsbyråer, trots att jag råkade på åtminstone två som vet vem det är.
På väg hem till Grövfre, där jag bor, körde bussen fel i snöfesten. Fick tid att tänka på att det nog är fint att vara en del av etablissemanget. Och att all min energi framöver kommer att gå till att hålla min plats där. Det gjorde mig lätt olycklig.
