Regntunga möttes vi i receptionen. M och jag vill stämma av medieprojektet med en potentiell intressent. Mötet började grandiost. Först fem minuter prata runt. Så kom den mest fulländande office-latten jag har skådat in på bordet. Det var dags att prata allvar. Jag drog marknadsanalysen. M visade på potentialen och affärsmöjligheterna. Tillsammans ville vi provtrycka vårt visionära medieprojekt, hårt förankrat i framtiden från och med nu, ja och i vår värld en framtida superprodukt.
Jag funderade på om jag gjorde ett bra intryck. Skulle jag ha haft kostym? Slides? Tänk om jag bar spår av småbarnslunch: fiskpinnar och spenat och idealmakaroner, koktid 6-7 minuter?
Den potentiella intressenten levererade rak feedback. Idén var bra, kan nog funka, ja, men troligen inte intressant för oss, men skicka en kort beskrivning, så….Latten rann ut i sanden. Tiden tog slut. Vi lyckades inte ge vårt projekt den dramaturgi det förtjänar. Inget fall är roligt, inte ens smärre fall framåt.
Därute i receptionen tittade vi ut över en vepa uthängd av vår nu något mindre potentiella intressents konkurrent. Vi diskuterade huruvida konkurrenten hade planerat kampanjen till finanskrisen eller helt enkelt inte kunnat slå på bromsarna.
Jag tänkte att med vårt kommunikationserbjudande hade frågan varit överflödig.
I regnrusket levererade M en korrekt reviderad plan: Nu kör vi fler möten.
På väg hem ringde A och berättade att han hade läst eknomidoktorn Jan Jörnmarks nya bok. A refererade entusiastiskt: Det enda forskarna vet är att var nionde år havererar ekonomin och strukturer slås ut. Ur spillrorna växer något nytt.
I det ögonblicket såg jag att det regnade in i barnvagnen. Jag fattade beslutet att dagen trots allt var god.
