Varför måste Aftonbladets chefredaktör Jan Helin be om ursäkt varje gång tidningen publicerar material som bränner till. Intill granskningen av Liza Marlunds Gömda, motiverade Jan Helin i en hel spalt varför tidningen publicerade det runt en vecka gamla materialet. I måndagens tidning är det dags igen att ursäkta sig för en granskning, denna gång av Ikeas grundare Ingvar Kamprad.
Jag har en tid tänkt på hur konstigt höstens (planterade?) artiklar om Kamprad har sett ut. Det är alltid bilden av företagsledaren som reser lowbudget och själv rycker in och jobbar på golvet. Det lyxigare livet i Schweiz brukar också nämnas, men ingen förrän Aftonbladet, vad jag känner till, har kopplat ihop de två bilderna av Kamprad. Det är ju uppenbart att bilderna krockar och att det borde äventyra allt som förknippas med varumärket Ikea. Och vad som händer med Ikea är ju en riksangelägenhet, så varför behöver Jan Helin motivera publiceringen och stryka Kamprad medhårs med: ”Lugn, Ingvar vi unnar dig den där gården”.
Jan Helin är smart som frontar, skriver själv och kommunicerar med läsarna. Det gör nästan ingen annan chefredaktör i landet. Kanske vill han ta platsen som rikspublicist, vilken har varit ledig sedan Bosse Strömstedt lämnade Expressen. Men dit kommer Jan Helin inte om han envisas med att om ursäkt för sig och sina medarbetare.
